NOTES:

The Magazine under review is Military Armour International No 12 published by M.A Editions, 9 Quai Ulysse Besnard, 41000 Blois, France. Published bye monthly and on A4 Portrait high quality paper, with 50 pages per edition. Now printed in an English version as well as separate French edition. UK distributor for the English version is P.S.P Models Ltd, Rear of the Talbot Hotel, Iwerne Minster, Blandford Forum, Dorset DT11 8QN, England.

This edition has the following articles:

So just what do you get for your money, Firstly well written articles with superb photographs showing how the model maker has achieved the relevant steps or conversion.

Added to which are first rate original war time photographs or in several cases full colour photographs of restored or museum items.

What you do not get is Toy Soldier or Flats, it is all about Armour kits and figures relating to dioramas.

To highlight this I can think of no better than the opening article. When I say it is superb I am basing it on nearly 40 years of model making experience and judging at all levels from small club shows to the Internationals at Trucks and Tracks.

The model maker Fabio truly understands what is required to portray a moment of time and freeze it. The rendition of the vehicles and figures in relationship to the story, convey it all, and truly the work of a master artist and model maker.

This article is worth the cover price of the magazine alone. The rest of the magazine is not just a bonus but a treat to behold.

For this one article alone I recommend you go out and buy it you will not be disappointed. Many thanks to Fabian for the review sample.
