NOTES:

Written in Russian

They are published in A4 portrait format and on very good quality paper.

They have 60 pages crammed full of yet more new original wartime photographs and ones preserved in museums round the world. Each is also full of high quality colour illustrations of actual vehicles in the books.

So what do you get for your money; firstly the German books contains the following. 76 black and white photographs and 84 full colour illustrations mainly 3 or 4 per page. The text is entirely in Russian and this applies to the captions as well. The Title is slightly wrong but it could be my translation, for it has photographs not only of armoured cars but flack vehicles and half-tracks as well. It covers the period from 1939 to 1945 and on all fronts where the German Army Fought. 90% of the photographs are new and two in particular stand out for me.

On page 35 there is a SdKfz 10/5 with the first clear photographs of the spaced armour on the bonnet front. The second is on page 36 and it shows a completely different arrangement of bonnet armour and also for the driver. To sum up very good reference material is in this book and it will satisfy all those who study German Armour and answer a few more questions.

Highly recommended, I obtained mine from Avia Press.

The second is The Russian book; this follows the same pattern as the first in all aspects. It contains within its pages the following; 81 black and white photographs and 86 colour illustrations.  Again it may be me for this contains not only armoured cars but lease lend equipment and captured German tanks put into Russian use, along with Armoured trains.

For me this has so much information it is going to take many hours of careful research and cross reference with other boks. Only after I have studied it will its the true potential be revealed?  But for review purposes I have selected the following to illustrate how useful it will be in the future.

I could go on and on, but it is better to buy it for yourself and study it very carefully. Highly recommended to those who built Russian Armour of WW2.

Obtain it now for it is like all these Russian books printed in very short runs of 3,000 for worldwide distribution.
