Here is the 15th volume from d’ALONG éditions with the famous T-6 and derivative aircraft . Via the French AF , here is a fine study of the well known trainer, but also the derivatives, which stay rather in the dark. The 32 first pages dress the historical background of the series from the NA-16 to NA-50. This section lead then to equipment and structure( a mess inside cockpit!), gear, wings, armament, engine) with b/w wartime pictures and beautiful restored and flying machines.13 pages full of profiles follow with French birds, but also other foreign users, USMC, SAAF, The Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Japan, RCAF, Belgium, RAAF(). A pack of yellow and NMF Texan in color in Algerian conflict highlight the French campaign. The others chapters deal with French NAA in regular service, and Boomerang and Wirraway, which is a good surprise. For modellers , 2 sheets in bonus offer profiles of most of the t-6 and its derivative. This new issue is a good companion of the other book on French T-6 from DTU, as it include more aspect of the trainer family. Recommended.
