NOTES:

Armour #27

This is an updated version of the original publication on the Tiger, dated 1989. For those who have the original publication, this is very much a complimentary volume & not a duplicate.

Printed in the standard Squadron Signal landscape format, there are fifty pages of photographs & drawings, with minimal text, including two pages of colour side views. These are complimented with full colour covers as well. There is a brief introduction detailing the development of the Tiger family, starting with the VK.4501(P) & VK4501(H) prototypes. The variants are then dealt with in chronological order with drawings & sketches illustrating the differences & developments in the various marks. Some of the photographs have appeared before in the previous volume on the Tiger, whilst many are either new or at least other photographs from the same series.

The Ferdinand, Elefant, Sturmtiger, TigerII Ausf B & Jagdtiger are also briefly touched upon, again with photographs & diagrams & three colour views of the latter three.

This is an excellent value for money book, whether purchased as an addition to the older volume, or as a book in it’s own right.
