There are two kits that are eligible for this contest. In 1/72, it is the Italeri C-47/DC-3 kit; in 1/48 it is the Hobbycraft Hawk 75 family of kits. These kits have been reboxed by other companies and those re-boxings are eligible.
Use of aftermarket bits and decals are OK. Modification to the aircraft is also permitted, but it must be readily recognizable as either a Hawk 75/P-36 or C-47/DC-3. For example, you can put the C-47 on floats or make the glider version or re-engine it as those will still be C-47/DC-3s. You cannot re-engine the Hawk 75 to make a P-40 or YP-37 as that will make it something other than a Hawk 75/P-36. Make sense?
